How To Calculate The Size Of LED Display?

How to calculate the size of the LED display? this is a frequently-asked question that many clients ask, how to get the width and height if we just only get the LED screen area size? And what about the exact size of LED screen if we just only get the width and height of LED display?

First, we just only know the specific width, height and the LED screen module size. For example, we want to make an P5 outdoor led display, the witdh is 10 meter, the height is 3 meter. And the module size is 320mm*160mm.

Then we need to calculat how many LED screen modules we needed with following formula.

The quantity of LED screen module in horizontal = the width of LED screen ÷ the width of LED screen module

Its module in vertical = the height of LED screen ÷ the height of LED screen module

So for 10x5m outdoor P5 LED screen,

The quantity of LED screen module in horizontal = 10 * 1000 ÷ 320 = 31.25 ≈ 32pcs

The quantity of display module in vertical = 3 * 1000 ÷ 160 = 18.75 ≈ 19pcs

After we get the exact quantity of LED screen module we needed, then we can calculate the exact size of the LED screen with following formula.

The width of LED screen = The quantity of LED screen module in horizontal x the width of LED displays module.

The height of LED displays = The quantity of screen module in vertical x the height of LED display module.

So for 10x3m outdoor P5 LED screen,

Exact screen width = 32 * 320mm = 10240mm = 10.24m.

Exact display height = 19 * 160mm = 3040mm = 3.04m.

Exact LED display area size = 10.24 x 3.04 = 31.1296 Square meter.
